Tutoring session 1 yesterday involved surface areas, then solving alien messages, interspersed with discussion of the six states of matter (though we didn’t really cover fermionic condensates as I have to do more research before next week to present them properly), Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, and the feasibility that binary logic would be a feature of convergent evolution on similar life-sustaining worlds, but that radically different worlds might develop alternate logics.

Also the importance when discussing floating point truth values of clarifying whether the value assigned is epistemic (I’m 90% sure it will rain) or ontological (It’s going to rain 90%)
