Our second tutoring session involved making fractions from decimals, followed by mapping a brainstorm of what emergency preparedness and healthcare would look like in an ideal world, various elements of how to survive the zombie apocalypse, and a Black Swan event game where one tries to figure out what the myriad implications would be of a given Black Swan event (in this case, plans for a functional, easy to make and cheap to make, infinitely renewable and powerful energy source being released on the internet). Also, we discussed the totally awesome book “The Flight of Dragons”, and the joys of making the preposterous axiomatic then adjusting one’s system to allow for it.
